I hope everyone's well and happy who is reading
this. The lakes have been a bit quiet lately, anglers wise with very few
people fishing the day ticket lake. There's been more on the syndicate
most days.
That leaves me with little to report on the Day
ticket lake. A few snippets of information have filtered through
though.
Worm (I forgot his proper name again), one of the
regulars has managed to catch a few. He has had 3 or 4 20's in the past
and was only saying how he never catches anything below 16 pound. Silly
thing to say and now he's caught fish as small as 3 pound. Should of kept
quiet mate!!! He also said he never blanks, OH OH !!
Lee Gerson just sent me a pic of his latest
capture, a nice solid 22 pound mirror. Lee makes the fish look small
compared to his own bulk. Thanks Lee and don't forget your floater gear
again mate. Lee had to sit and watch loads of fish cruising the surface
last weekend with no floater gear on board!!
On the syndicate lake it has been a bit slower than
a week or two ago. No real surprises but some nice 20's including several
mid 20's to 28 plus. Brummy Dan had a nice 26 mirror on his first
session a week or so back and there was fish to 28 out this
weekend.
Me and Anne had our annual trip to the Spanish
river Ebro last week, both of us catching our PB cat fish, plus a few back
up fish. Once again my mate Jason Latham sorted out loads of gear for me
and helped the trip go well. I can't tell you just how bad a trip could
go, without the right sort of experience backing you up. Jason is a
terrific guide and I wouldn't want to go there without him being there for
help and advice. He runs his guiding company in a very friendly
manner and can be contacted on www.fatcatzfinecarp.co.ok or e-mail
at jasonfatcatz@yahoo.co.uk or
phone 0034 633347013. I always e-mail him because he is an angler that
gets stuck in and breaks and drowns his phone a lot.
I have written a little article on this session
which I'm giving to Elton Murphy (who runs this site for me) for his Anglers Net web site, so check it out in a week or so when Anne gets it typed
up. Anglers Net is more than a web site, there is chat rooms, articles,
reviews and an whole host of other fishing info on the site. I'm always
afraid to open it up because I find it quiet fascinating, digging into the
different areas, especially as I love all types of fishing. I've
never actively participated on a chat room type site but reading some bit's
makes it hard to stay off. I always just google up anglersnet to find his
site but I'm sure Elton will give us all the better directions (just click here, Gary - Elton).
That's it for now. I'm fed up asking but if
you can please send me pictures, new or old for the gallery it will be
appreciated. Bang them on a disk, have them in the car and give them
to me or Steve, down the lake. I WANT PICS FOR THE GALLERY. People
are already talking about it, saying it looks good so please help me out
here.
Cheers for listening
Gary
