There were a lot of fish caught this last weekend on the Day Ticket lake. Pictures are promised but not yet received so you are treated to Anne and my fishy escapades again.
First though I will give you a quick run down of what I know of being caught.
Three anglers had 5, 1 and no fish on Friday night, I don't know the sizes but as far as I know that is the only blank this week. Unlucky mate and I know you tried, fishing rods no more than 5 yards of your mates rods is good angling if you can get away with it. ( I find out most things ! )
Steve and John and his son had a good Friday to Sunday session, literally losing count of the fish they caught. Best carp was I think an 18-pounder but I know they had a few over 15 pound. Steve also had 9 Tench and John’s boy had Tench, Roach, Rudd and Perch on the feeder. John was still buzzing when I saw him in the car park, that alone made Anne's day.
Two of the Basildon boys were kept up all night Saturday, they then slept most of Sunday to compensate. I don't think they had any bigger fish but then they have caught them to 26 in previous weeks.
Anthony Brown fished the shallows and had 8 or more with his mate. They did loose a few in the weed I'm afraid so it looks like I will have to take a bit more out, which was my plan for Sunday afternoon.
On the Syndicate there was only one fish out to Ben at 30lb 04oz. There was a few other occurrences but none resulted in fish on the bank.
Anne and I fished the Day Ticket lake on the Sunday afternoon and managed to bank 12 carp to about 17 pound, I forgot my scales. The same as last week we used Method mix on all the rods, since I am testing some new recipes. I must admit I think I am getting there with the new blends to catch 12 and loose one out of a swim where Steve and John caught so many they lost count.
We will soon be supplying a Bayeswater Special bait to some of the local shops in both frozen and shelf life boilies and pop-ups, 15mm size only to start with. With the recipes I've been developing I will also make a Method mix available and food and boilie dips. Other size boilies will be available soon but the bait factory is too busy to keep up so there will be a delay.
That's about it for now, don't forget to send in pictures, any fish, big or small as I will be launching a new photo gallery soon and we want to see as many pictures as possible.
The 3 fish we photographed are mirrors about 14 pound and a common about 17 pound, cracking fish aren't they?
