Day Ticket News - Feb 2008

I had a Sunday spare, or so I thought last week and then I get a call to work down the lakes.

The farmer needed to extend the pipe to help drain the stock pond down. A boat was needed so there goes my Sunday.

Anyway I decided to have a few hours fishing.  I put two rods out chod rigged pop ups and maggot fished with the other two.  I ended up with 4 carp to the chod rigs and lost one on the maggot.  Best fish was this 19lb common.

I’m not the only angler to have had a fish or two, Andy, one of the locals has had some to 16lb and another angler had fish to 19lb 8oz.

There hasn’t been too many people fishing lately.  The track is a bit of a mess and there is a lot of heavy traffic about.
The landscaping should be finished soon and the traffic will lessen to a degree.
