Nice one Nick

Nick Maddox had one or two fish the other weekend including this cracking 24.10 mirror.  Nick had to fish pretty hard in bad conditions but managed to find some feeding fish by searching his swim out to find the hot spot and was rewarded with several bites in a short time.  Well done Nick.
 
I had 5 out to over 16 pound the other day stalking the margins on light tackle.  I almost forgotten how hard they fight and am taking the 6 pound line off and replacing it with 10 for my next trip.  One of the fish nearly had me in the reeds a few times, that's just too scary!
 
Hopefully they got rid of most of their spawn on their 2 days of madness last weekend.  I had a walk round tonight, 27th May and noticed the water was much more coloured than it was at the weekend.  A sure sign of heavy feeding, possibly to re-build their energy back up in the future.  I wished I had the rods with me, it looked really good for a bite or two.
 
I'll be back soon for a few mid week evening sessions or even all-nighters between work now the nights are light and the mornings are long.
