Kevin's New PB

The day ticket lake fished a bit patchy last weekend, or rather Friday night/ Saturday, as there was no one on there Sunday.  I think nearly every one caught fish though.  I know one angler caught 10 on Saturday and I received this email tonight (Tuesday 29th April) with a nice first time on the lake story.  Thanks for the report Kevin.

This is the fourth personal best story I have had from Bayeswater in a few weeks, it's what it's all about to me, anglers catching, enjoying themselves etc etc, just fishing.

I had two out of the shallows in about 10 minutes on Sunday.  I was only supposed to be bailiff but could not resist having a go after seeing a known linear of 25 lb plus and some other good fish in the shallows.  I managed to spook most of them placing the baits and caught a 14 pounder after a little wait of 5 minutes.  As soon as I had that fish in the net (still in the water) I re-cast the other rod further out and again had another instant take.  That's how quick it can be if you are quick and quite, I never even set up the bank sticks, or anything.  A bucket of bait and rig bits, landing net, un-hooking mat, camera and Polaroid glasses is about all you need to start with if its not raining.

Me and my friend popped over to see you Wednesday night as we was doing our first nights fishing at Bayeswater on Friday (25/04/08). When we arrived Friday the side we was originally going to fish was quite busy with a couple of anglers all ready fishing there, so we decided to fish the other bank as there was a couple showing over there and the wind was blowing to that corner. It was raining when we arrived so we quickly put our bivvies up then decided to bait up and get our rods out.  Within 1 hour of my rod being out I had a run and it was a 26 lb 12 oz mirror, my new PB and what a fish. Steve was fishing the syndicate and he done the pleasure of weighing the fish and informed me it was known as the "Gut Bucket"! I have attached my pictures and will be back again this weekend :)
