Mathew Childs captured the common at a personal best 35.08 a few weeks ago and just last week caught a new 30 at 30.06. Well played Mathew, impressive fishing doing mid-week overnighters.
There have been quite a few fish out of the lake in the past few weeks, Mathew has had several other 20's as well as his 30's and there has been several doubles and 20's to other anglers. James Cullen has had a lot of fish from the lake this year including 2 x 37 pound mirrors, He caught another 3 on an overnighter on the 11th of july to 29 pound. Tony Geary has had several more 20's to 27 since his capture of the 34 common reported a few weeks ago. Gary Bayes blanked on an 18 hour session, losing the only take of the day. Gary said thats fishing but in all the lake is really doing well with every known fish looking good and growing, not only replenishing weight from spawning but actually length wise.
Thats it for now, please try to get pictures to Gary for the galleries. The fish big enough to be very interesting now and it's nice to keep photographic records on display.
