Tony joined the syndicate late last year and was one of the most persistent anglers over the horrible winter and early spring that we have just had.
Tony had some pretty bad luck early on losing his first take which he thinks was a very good fish, going by the size of the back in the reflection of the lights during the long night hours of a winter session.
Persistence has paid of though with some nice fish to his credit culminating in the capture of a near PB common of 34.02 and a PB perch of 2.03 this Saturday/Sunday, 12-13th June, well done mate.

The Common, like all the other fish in the lake has recently spawned out and would of weighed possibly 5 pound more a few weeks ago. Tony though didn't mind one bit, in fact he was really pleased to see it as an healthy fish, just like all the other members.
You'll see in the attached pictures size is not an issue with Tony as it is with some anglers, he photographed possibly the smallest rod caught common so far. Tony size does matter in some parts of life!!!!
The bird poo on the reel was accredited to the capture to a degree, just how much is hard to tell but usually when a big one is caught the circumstances do seem to be more bizarre than the captures of the normal run of the mill fish, I've noticed that myself.
Whatever the reason though, bird poo, new rig or sheer persistence, you earned that fish Tony so well done again.
