There hasn't been many on the Day ticket lake the
last week although the fish have been showing like crazy.
Last week Mark Twin did a mid week night between
work and had 12, 16 and 20 pounders, not a bad nights work.
At the weekend I guest'ed a couple of anglers, one
of which, Trevor, had fish to 19 pound but unfortunately most other anglers
struggled. If only they had chucked a zig
rig out. The fish were showing one after the other, just under the surface
just waiting for a mid to high water presented bait.
On the hot, bright sunny days they are suckers for
the zig rigs, some anglers have had double figure catches in the past. If
you don't try you'll never know what you are missing. It's got to be
done!!!
Saying that, I missed the chance on the syndicate
lake, I should of had at least 2 zig's out, it might of saved a
blank.
James, one of the members had the only fish while I
was there, a typical chunky 26.12 mirror. James also lost one on a zig
rig, a night take to, well done James and silly me for not trying hard
enough.
This week on the syndicate lake James had a few
more to 29 (that I know about) and Brummy has had a 27, on his second
session. That's one a night for Brummy Dan, jammy bleeder.
There was a 20.13 common out of the day ticket lake
in the week to Dan, one of our regulars. Dan saw more than a hundred
shows in a day. As I said, they are really on the move in there, I
think there's going to be a big catch out soon, there usually is when they are
showing a lot. Maybe this weekend!!
