Walk round with the camera

I had a walk round with the camera in hand last Sunday.  It was an evil windy day, high air pressure, etc.etc. All the same old excuses.
There had been a few fish out over the weekend, to over 18lb or so.  As I keep harping on we need photos for the web site, which is why I was lurking about with the camera.

I managed to get a couple of shots on my walk round though, the first being, just a little fella with a little fella.  I am sure this carp is an own bred, a cracking looking fish.  This was caught really close in, which is where a lot of fish are caught at Bayeswater.

The second fish I saw caught was from the far end of the shallows, again a lovely mirror, the capture was Russell Bakers first fish of the weekend.  He had lost a couple in the dark though.  Bayeswater fish fight like hell, you can’t just drag them in or they fall off.  Russell was prompted to play this fish a little easier than he started off doing, going on to catch one or two more in the afternoon.  I’ve lost a few fish at Bayeswater but now I hardly loose any, of 49 I caught in January I also had 4 drop off, that’s playing them steady, at about half to three quarters bend on 3lb tc rods, never bullying them.  There isn’t any snags, so it isn’t necessary to cane em in.

Anyway, thanks Russell for the opportunity to show off such a lovely fish on the web site,

Good luck to everyone else.
