Bugg Bags Up!

Steve Bugg had a little dabble on the day ticket lake, catching 9 fish in just a couple of hours. When it's really hot and the action on bottom baits is slow there is two methods that outshine all others at Bayeswater lakes and at most other lakes. One is to margin fish very close in, making sure to only fish 2-4 ft deep. Quietness is needed, soft footfalls and keeping away from the waters edge. Light baiting, literally a dozen free offerings is enough. The other method is floater fishing, just like Steve proved. There was a few anglers on the lake this day, Steve suggested to several to have a go on the surface. Good advice but no one took notice so Steve had to prove it, catching the first 6 in an hour. Steve really knows his fishing, if I were on the lake suffering from slow fishing, I would definitely listen to his words of wisdom. Half a bag of chum mixer and one rod was all it took. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
