Bayeswater day ticket lake is around 4.5 acres with 13 swims (no 13 covers all the shallows with room for 2 anglers to share if they know one another) and is now run as a booking’s only venue. You have to join Bayeswater then book on to fish and choose a swim when you get there. We only book 10-11 swims at any one time so there is always swim options and on longer sessions there is always a chance to move as anglers come and go depending where you think the fish are.

Fishing wise there is a good head of 20lb plus fish with over 30 x 30 pounders, up to nearly 40lb, in fact the big common recently came out just over 40. The lake has produced a 40 before but that fish has since dropped a bit of weight, it’s an old fish, but there are several others over 37 which could easily get up there. We removed nearly 3,000lb of small carp, tench and silvers winter 2021 and have seen several of the regularly caught carp put a few pounds on. We also trickle stock into the lake every couple of years and introduced a 30, 26 and 16 other doubles to just over 20 in the 2021 winter. We have a few young 20’s in the stock pond some of which will be going in the day ticket lake this winter 2022-23.

Because of the nature of the lake and the booking system we rarely book part days, it just doesn’t work with most anglers fishing longer sessions. So, to help out on longer sessions we price it up as below. It seems to work and so we’ll try to keep it like it is, so apologies to short session anglers.

DAY TICKET PRICES

ID cards and keys stay at the price they have been for all the time we have had Bayeswater (£25) but unfortunately, we have had to put the price per fishing session up as of the 1st June 2022.

We have been running a no guests rule during Covid but this has been relaxed a little whereby an angler can bring a guest once, a friend from far away for instance or someone unlikely to fish the lake again but if the guest does want to fish the lake again, they must join.

• £20/12hrs session (no part day discount)
• £30/24hrs session
• £20/each 24hrs or part of each day after the first 24hrs, so £50/24hrs, £70/72hrs, £90/96hrs and so on.
